The aim of the study is to look at the competencies and prerequisites of museum visitors from the perspective of museum professionals. For this purpose, a Delphi study was designed. This means that in an iterative, anonymous survey process, experiences and opinions of different museum professionals were collected, summarized and evaluated in a first round. In a second round, the results obtained were evaluated, classified and, if necessary, supplemented by the museum experts. A third round serves to refine and generalize the focal points found.
